I would like the text in the main title to contrast the words "free" and "you" so that when someone reads the title, they can read the whole main title, Free Looks Good on You, but the words "free" and "you" pop out.
I also included a pic of the cover of my first book, Love Junkies. This book is 5 years old, but I like that it doesn't look churchy even though it is full of scripture. My writing style is extremely transparent and my audience appreciates that I don't hide the truth. I'd like a cover that expresses that raw vulnerability. I'm going for a little shock value as well, something that draws the reader in because it's real. For example, I did not like the cover of Love Junkies when I first saw it. My publisher presented 3 covers for me to choose from and I wanted my audience to vote. The other 2 were clean cut and at first, I wasn't even going to put the cover below in the vote because I thought it was too sultry. But it was by far the top pick, even by pastor's wives. Clearly, even a Christian audience is looking for reality.
I also like the idea of a simple background image that portrays that the book is about leaving a toxic relationship. I thought the "heart handcuffs" were a good fit, but if you decide to use this or a similar image, I think the chain should be broken. I found that image here. I've included this to give you some idea of what I'm looking for, but I'd rather see your creativity on the concept. https://www.shutterstock.com/image-…-252343564
Lo que debe evitarse
no syringes to illustrate toxic love:)
While I like fancy fonts, I want to make sure the title is easy to read in a thumbnail
