Overview of book: The book centers around two 17-year-old gay boys who have been friends for a few years. In the summer the lads meet at their respective summer homes at a lake in upstate New York with their families. This book plays on the nostalgic days of youth. The book takes place on the 4th of July but perhaps refrain from making it a selling point on the cover as I'd like for it to appeal to people year-round. The boys go about their day going from a family water fight in the backyard to attending a county fair with amusements and fireworks later in the evening. Throughout the day, they each challenge each other with all the conventional norms you see in puppy love romances. The book concludes with the boys confronting each other about the attraction on a crag overlooking a lake as fireworks explode in the sky over a lake where a town a bustling town appears in the distance. I rather liked this picture for a front cover, but I am open to other concepts. Please let your ideas come forth and if you wish to go with mine that would be awesome-possum.
