[This isn’t the final blurb for my book and is only provided to help with cover design.] Seeing Clearly is the story of my journey of self-discovery that began after I was diagnosed with neovascular macular degeneration. The chronic, progressive, and irreversible disease has robbed me of virtually all my central vision. The visual impairment forced me to see the world around me differently, literally and figuratively. The journey has provided context into an extremely dark chapter in my life that tore my family apart. While I would have never wished for macular degeneration, the one thing I would never change is where I am today. I am more aware of and at ease with who I am than ever before.

This story would be of interest to anyone who has, or has a loved one who has, been forced to come to terms with a physical disability such as a visual impairment. It would also be of interest to anyone, middle aged men in particular, who is struggling to find meaning in their life.
