Descripción del libro
Not since Elmer Keith’s Sixguns appeared in 1955 has a book treated the single action revolver so entertainingly and so meticulously. John Taffin, famed gun writer and columnist, has sifted through hundreds of full- color photographs and half a century of shooting experience to produce the definitive one-volume work on the subject.
From the first primitive percussion revolver of 1836 to today’s latest precision hunting and target models, Single Action Sixguns spins an intriguing tale beginning with Samuel Colt and ending with Bill Ruger, John Linebaugh, and Dick Casull. Whether the subject is the latest replicas, custom grips, or pet loads for the Schofield or Single Action Army, John Taffin has not only experienced it but has documented it in plain English and masterful detail.
To paraphrase Elmer Keith’s appraisal of his own favorite custom-built sixgun, John Taffin’s Single Action Sixguns is truly “The Last Word” on the subject.
This is four books by Taffin; we would post separately but want the title treatment to be the same for all 4 (not necessarily in the same placement). We will provide contents listing & existing copy to give a summary of what is in each book.
