I tend to gravitate toward simple designed with bold color usage. I also tend to prefer illustrations, rather than photography on books, but am open to photography is its really powerful.
The tripowerment model is a triangle (WHYPOWER/self-determination, which is like the heart or light house; WILLPOWER/self-control, which is like the muscle being the effort change; and WAYPOWER/self-efficacy, which is like the mind) - I'd love to explore a key visual for the cover that reflects this. Everything is a struggle - people want to change but they also want too enjoy current behaviors... everyone has both a devil and an angel within them. The point of tripowerment is to bring out the angel.
Finally, the book will be displayed on a splash page prior to release where people can download a sample chapter - it would be great to see the book displayed against a stack (as some of the designers do), as if to promote it. thanks :)
