The target audience is wounded veterans and the disabled community.
Shifting Gears is a 501(c)(3) that will provide adaptive sports tools and training to our wounded veterans and physically challenged community. We want to empower and enable the disabled community to train and participate in mainstream sports. We want to educate and inspire values of courage, camaraderie, community, and healthy competition. Our goal is to instill a sense of independence and self-confidence in those with disabilities by introducing them to the wonderful world of adaptive sports.
The name Shifting Gears is supposed to inspire a sense of hope as people transition from playing sports in the traditional fashion to learning how to enjoy them in their adapted form.

Diseño de inspiración
The logo should quickly convey what the organization does and stands for. We want it to be able to stand on its own, but also look sharp when attached to the company name. Please do not incorporate a traditional gear into the design as we don't want people to have the misconception that we're in any way related specifically to bicycles or automobiles. Keep the design simple, refined and classic, but also current/modern. A design that conveys movement and motion would be great as we want to enforce the sentiment of "keep moving forward", as well as the forward motion of sports.
