CORE is doing a brand refresh! We’ve grown exponentially over the past 6 years, and we’re looking for a logo that represents our expanded services and unique culture.
Four civil engineers started CORE in 2014. Since then, we’ve grown to a multi-disciple firm with more than 60 professionals. We offer the following services:
• Civil Engineering
• Natural Resources
• Land Surveying
• Development Services
We guide our clients through the entire development process for residential, commercial, energy and municipal projects.
The most unique thing about CORE is our culture. I started CORE to get back to the core of what I really wanted out of a career… flexibility, balance, and purpose in the workplace so I could get back to the core of who I really was – as a person and as an engineer. We’ve worked hard to develop a culture that “empowers people to thrive at home, at work, and in their community.” Our mission is people-centric which sets us apart and has been the key to our success.
CORE has been named a best place to work three years in a row, both nationally and locally. Our fast growth has also been recognized by Inc. Magazine, the Zweig Group, and the Denver Business Journal. We challenge the status quo everyday and want to be seen as a firm that does things differently.
That’s where the brand refresh comes in. Our current logo has a very “engineering” feel to it. We’re not just civil engineers anymore, and we want to break the typical “civil engineering” mold. We want a logo that envelops our fun atmosphere, our great culture, and our diverse service offering.
We’re open to logos that are a play off our current logo or something completely different.

One quick additional note -- We'd like to move away from the traditional "core in the C or O" concept... so many companies with the name "core" go with this design. We'd like to explore options that avoid this cliché or take a new spin on the concept.

Hi designers! Thanks so much for participating in our design contest. We are overwhelmed with the incredible response. Our committee met this afternoon and have decided that we’d like to see the following in our logo:
• Emphasis on the letter E (We like the E since we Empower our Employees)
• Fresh typeface, different from our current logo
• Bold typeface (we aren’t crazy about thin fonts)
• Logo clearly says CORE
• Give us some options in a rectangle/square or other geometric shape.
• We are not fans of cliché – that means no dot/circle in the C or O. Every other company called CORE does this, and we want to be different!
