We want to have an element of growth and also stability. We like the idea of an anchor with vines wrapped around it. Or a tree with anchor-like roots. That gets both concepts involved. We felt almost every Living Hope out there just has plants or water which is why we like the symbol for hope, an anchor, also being involved.
We're open to other concepts you'd like to explore as well. The next runner up idea for us was an empty tomb or resurrection concept.
We don't want this incorporated into the logo but here are some of our ideas to give you context.
~ Hope comes to life.
~ Hope is delivered
~ Hope is anchored
~ Anchoring souls.
~ Find Hope. Live Hope. Share Hope.
~Hope is heard. Hope is anchored. Hope is delivered.
Living Hope is from a Bible passage (1 Peter 1:3,4)
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade - kept in heaven for you."
Based on this passage hope is a living, active thing centered on the resurrection of Jesus and it is also a firm conviction in a promised inheritance.
Here is the passage equating hope with an anchor:
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." (Hebrews 6:19)
