we are leaning heavily toward the art deco style. think: empire state building, metropolis, the rocketeer, the great gatsby, atlas shrugged, the fountainhead, old travel posters that showed zeppelin airships, zephyr automobiles, large cruiseships etc.
not necessarily to use these specific items in the logo but the idea of bold geometric shapes, ornamentation and an assertively modern style.
"Deco emphasizes geometric forms: spheres, polygons, rectangles, trapezoids, zigzags, chevrons, and sunburst motifs. Elements are often arranged in symmetrical patterns."
feel free to use winged or draped figures. it would be interesting to see two mirror images of iconic figures potentially forming or posed in a way that is reminiscent of the letter M, while holding up a sphere representing the planet. half the the planet could be a D or be turned sideways to represent the bottom half while something decorative or ornamental could be done for the top half.
see the attached images for inspiration.
