Our business will be the largest radon testing and mitigation company in Utah within the next 12 months by combining several companies into one new one. We want an official looking brand, yet one that portrays a modern (not cluttered!) look and clean healthy feel. We likely want to use lighter greens and greys on our promotional materials, van wraps, and web site to portray good health and well-being. Think of a warm, sunny, early summer day – bright, fresh and clean. The greens and greys don’t necessarily need to be used in our logo, but be aware those will be the predominant colors in our promotional assets.
The words "radon services" possibly may be emphasized over the word "Utah." Most people don't even know what radon gas is so there isn't much to tie it to visually. You have a blank canvas to work with. To fix a home with high radon levels, we drill a hole down through the foundation and then route pipes up and out the roof to continuously suck air out from under the foundation and blow it out the top. Radon kills over 21,000 people annually (more than drunk drivers), so this service is an important one, but most people don't know about it!
You see many logos incorporated with the first letters of each word in the name. Since this is pretty over used, we want to avoid that in our branding. "URS" just doesn't mean anything to anyone. A stylized shape of Utah with/and/or flowing air imagery might be used in the logo design but we are not tied to these ideas at all. We look forward to see your fresh ideas.
Since people don’t know what “Utah Radon Services” means, the tagline FREE Testing & Affordable Solutions is pretty important to our brand and will be used near the logo at least in places like our wrapped service vans. After this contest, we will do a van wrap and website design contest. Thanks for working on this contest!
