We are building a website targeted towards parents of kids with learning differences and/or special needs. We also target people/companies that provide services to these types of families. Our primary audience is parents and they would usually be female 25-45 years old.

I like the playfulness and hand drawn feel.
I like the simplicity and retro style
I like the childish happy vibe.
I like the symbolism of the logo
I like the simplicity of the logo. It's more like an icon or favicon.
I like the use of color and the simplicity of the design but it also is a little busy which I don't like.
I like the complexity, symbolism and wonder of the tree.
I like the font work and how the logo conveys a lot.
I like the childlike quality of the logo. We really are about the kids, but we target the parents.
When I think about our logo I envision light colors and a path leading to the horizon. That's just me but it's something to think about. The idea here is that parents have hopes and dreams for the children and fulfilling these hopes and dreams involves a journey that we want to help them with.
I know our company name and domain name is long, so having some way to just use HDJ could be of value for a mobile friendly logo as well as a favicon.
A similar site to what we are building might be understood.org. We would be presenting similar information. The look and feel of their site is not bad but they would probably be considered a competitor so we need to do something better and more interesting.
