After looking at many entries, i am curious to see if its possible to use the negative space of two real containers stacked on each other with two colors and then have text "shippable" on it....
or 3 containers top view with "shippable" simple text instead of trying to build a character or mascot.
we can be thought of an integrations company. So we used integral sign in the past. if you need to look at our current logo its http://www.shippable.com. We don't want/need to stick to this...
we are about Speed, so something in motion etc. could be an idea
we are one of the first companies to be build on containers (like docker). so a depiction of container(s) can be part of the logo.
Aye Aye (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aye-aye)
a species of lemur that eats bugs. making this animal look playful could be an idea.
we could also be an octopus managing all container applications as they move over a shipping lane
Should fit with the general open source aesthetic—friendly, fun, playful, colorful. Should be something that a developer would want to wear on a t-shirt.
Would love to see if we could incorporate an animal thats busy, efficient, intelligent and feeds on bugs?
Should not look too corporate. Should not look like Oracle, Microsoft, VMWare, etc.
The goal is to appeal to developers and create an emotion of efficiency
Though we currently use blue on our website, we do not need to stick to this color. We're equally intrigued by orange and gray and are also open to other colors. In fact, we want to create a new color palette as part of this exercise.
