The typography and color splash on the "i" is a wonderful and whimsical touch.
Even though we work with youth, the majority of the time it's the parent/guardian that's making the decision to send them to a camp or event with us. That creates a different target audience with our branding. Keep that in mind as you design. Historically we've been historic...pun intended. Much of our previous design work has revolved around masculine tones with a nod to America's past. Most of our designs have a clean vintage look to them. I'm attaching a few of our own designs as well as a few we really like.
The vintage, hand-drawn look is something we see ourselves embodying pretty well, however, a clean and minimalistic branding is also something we're very open to. Our organizational theme, if you will, often revolves around the use of arrows. It's an element we'd like to keep in the design if possible.
So, the challenge lies in bringing 1776 to 2018 :)
