there is no spoon is a sole proprietorship start-up consultancy which focuses on improving people's experiences with brands and organizations whether they work for them or buy products or services from them. For companies that want to improve staff productivity and motivation, efficiency, and effective use of resources, I will audit everything from team and individual team member values to operational processes and procedures, and internal collaboration, to make recommendations and, if required, lead the implementation. For companies that want to improve their customers' experiences, I will look at the full customer journey through all the touchpoints, get feedback from customers, assess how the company's internal functioning is affecting the customer journey, make recommendations and, if requested, lead on the implementation. I will do this for any organization of any size in any industry and any location on Earth.

I have been described as a wild card - the one that wins the hand if you're willing to have a bit of courage. If you want to keep doing the same thing you've always been doing and expect different results, I'm not the person you need to be working with. I take calculated risks, I make mistakes, I learn, I improve. In many cases, what people read about me on paper (ie: my CV) doesn't match up to what they expect to see when I walk in the door. My personal look is relatively casual and although I'm well put together, if you look at me closely you'll eventually notice a few piercings and a small tattoo or two. People who choose to work with me do so because I have the experience (you can have a look at my LinkedIn profile if you like https://www.linkedin.com/in/larakhouri/) and heck of a lot of Personality. I use both to get things done. It's very important to me that my logo and other branded elements are true to who I am; so they have to convey a sense of excitement and security, of positive change while keeping a feeling of familiarity. I want to use color while being conscious that I have to appeal to a broad range of potential clients, from 20 or 30-somethings and their startups to more established organizations with a number of departments and middle-aged department heads. Ideally, I would also like to incorporate light and/or a feeling of lightness into it and my background definitely can't be dark. This consultancy is my baby; it's taken me over 20 years of hard work to get here both personally and professionally.
