This brochure was written by a very famous and prestigious venture capital firm, based in the Silicon Valley in California, in order to make its case for high technology investments in Russia. The two dominant visual images are therefore Russia and high technology. The firm is raising $300 million in a fund. The firm's name is Sofinnova Ventures; the fund's name is CoreBridge Cross Border Growth Equity L.P. The target audience is sophisticated investors, mostly institutions and wealthy families and individuals. They are highly educated and very accustomed to reading dense amounts of information in few pages. We have written about 10 pages of text, which we would like to illustrate with images, and some charts and graphs for the financial data.
Some of our investors are Americans, some are Europeans. The owners of Sofinnova, who will be judging this contest are French, American and Russian, all of them between 45 and 55. Cross-border investing is a major aspect of this fund, so visualizing successful collaborations is important as is the vibrancy of the Silicon Valley venture capital community, where Sofinnova has been based for 40 years.

We are open to ideas, and would welcome creative solutions to the problem of providing the visual display of quantitative information. If you wished to use only graphics, or a combination of graphics and photos, or only photos--it's up to you. Don't want to hamper the creative process. But we when we look at it, we would like it to have the effect of being bold but not florid, smart but not cerebral, rich but not gaudy.

Perhaps this is best described as a booklet. Not sure if we will print many copies ourselves, most people print it out for themselves on their color printers.

We wish to avoid, and will disqualify instantly any submission of, unaltered stereotype images of Russia (kremlins, snow covered churches, May Day parades, ICBMs, collective farms or monuments commemorating heroic deeds or battles)
