"Design your own PHATport" - We are selling something no one has ever sold: A modular system for building solar power plants that look like attractive structures. When you look up at a PHATport from underneath, you see an attractive canopy, not an electricity generator. In this piece we want to show the steps of designing a PHATport, and we believe that infograph(s) would probably need to be part of the lay-out to describe the process for designing your own PHATport. Start with the technology: Different customers look for different things in their solar panels, like aesthetics, or power, or color. Those panels are then clustered in groups of 6 (or less) which hide all the electrical wiring, and will make up the canopy based on total available area and amount of power needed from the system. We secure those decks on one of our support structure PHATport designs (200, 350, stand-alone or braced, etc) , which the customer chooses based on factors like space, orientation, budget and main building lay-out. Finally, the customer selects options like finish, lights, EVcar chargers, etc, to integrate into the structure.
The advantages are : Beautiful structure that does not look like a power plant - Fire proof - Very fast to install - Allows a variety of panels with different attributes (Sunpower, Sunpreme, Panasonic, Canadian Solar) - Looks like a totally custom structure but costs less.
