Tube Tamer is a brand new mobile app for navigating London’s vast public transport system. It features a journey planner combining Underground (Tube), Rail, Bus, Tram and Riverboat journeys using an easy, fast, and polished interface.
Our application stands out from our competitors by offering a faster, more polished user experience, as well as several innovative new features. We need an icon that reflects these attributes: it should be distinctive and polished, yet simple and bold.
Your icon will be marketed to an audience of millions of iPhone users in greater London, as well as the many thousands of tourists and business travellers users who visit London every week.
We’ve come up with a couple of early concept icons (see attachments below). You could start with these designs and refresh them to make them awesome, or submit something completely different.
Most importantly, your design should in some way reflect the theme of public transport in London. If your design features a tube train, it should be distinctively a tube train. If your design features a transit map, it should be recognizably be a London tube map.
Designs must comply with Transport for London (TfL)’s branding guidelines, which are available at the following URL:

In particular, note that the design must not include (or be derived from) the TfL “roundel” logo.
