We add game mechanics to websites. Our API lets site owners quickly add mechanics such as levels, badges, leaderboards, and virtual gifts to motivate their users and encourage engagement.
These badges will be given to users for performing certain actions on a website. As users do more, they unlock progressive levels of the badge set. The sets will be utilized in a wide variety of applications and website genres.
We're looking for two sets of badges, 10 each. Each set is a distinct track of progressively desirable badges - think Level 1 being a bit plain and easy to unlock, up to Level 10 being a shiny treasure version of Level 1, teasing the user to try and unlock it.
Anything providing a sense of achievement is appropriate: trophies, stars, badges, medals, etc. Or feel free to go a different route and try other elements - as long as they provide a sense of progressive achievement and are generic enough to be awarded for online actions, they will be considered. Badge sets with space for numbers is also an option (i.e., explicit display of "Level 1" thru "Level 10" text, or display of a count of actions such as "1" thru "100"). If you need an example in mind, think of users gaining XP as they do actions, and your badges represent their progress from newbie to expert.
The two sets do not have to be related at all.
The final files should be 100x100 png format with transparent background. Badges should be original and not utilize any clipart or photos that require additional licensing requirements or costs. We can always use more badges, so will be looking to award 2nd and 3rd place prizes of $100 and $75 to the runner up entries.
