We are a nonprofit working in rural Uganda and Senegal Africa. Our mission is to transform humanity by empowering women and children to reach their full potential through improved Health Care, Education and Microenterprise. We are passionate about creating a self-sustaining model that can continue to empower communities without further aid.
Our Girl Power Project works with the youth in these communities teaching, Social Survival Skills, How to Avoid Sexual Violence, The Importance of Good Communication, Good Peer Pressure vs. Bad Peer Pressure and to empower girls to live their dreams!
100 Communities teach 100 Girls Each to become Peer Mentors Who Then Teach 100 Girls Each Essential Empowerment Skills.
That's a Million Girls!
100 Communities x 100 Mentors x 100 Girls = 1 Million Girls
Girl Power Project(TM), a Just Like My Child Foundation Program.
¿Qué te inspira y qué diseño imaginas para tu empresa?
Our annual fundraising event this year is focusing on our Girl Power Project. The theme for the event is: "Yes She Can". In the style of the Rosie the Riveter. The art work that you create will be used on our inviation and advertisement for this event.
I was thinking American Pop art meets african pop art with a feminine flair. Whatever you do, don't make it all pink, instead incorporate colors from our logo.
We are using this for a campaign and it needs to be replicated.
We want the attached photo of the African women to be turned into a Rosie the riveter illustration like the sample of Michelle Obama. The words above her should read: Yes She Can!
