We need an original identity that captures the spirit of the 18th Floor and its target market. We're looking for a progressive, web 2.0 design without being too cute. Nothing corporate -- something more fun. Look at Bootup Labs (http://www.bootuplabs.com) as a simple, clean, genre that we're looking to achieve.
For the information architecture, we're very simple:
Home, Team, Portfolio, FAQ, Contact Us
The homepage will be one design with typical content areas in the main section describing who we are, etc. We'd like an area to integrate more dynamic content like a Twitter feed as well somewhere on the homepage. Everything else is typical of what you see on a site like this.
The subpages for Team, Portfolio, FAQ and Contact Us can all be the same design. We'd like to have a subnavigation area on each subpage, but other than that we'll provide all the content.
For the logo, we're open to ideas. Nothing too cute, but it needs to stand out and be something we can use as a brand effectively. 18th Floor was founded on the principals of great teams and great results when creating products with some of the founding team of 18th Floor; we want that spirit to be embodied in the logo somehow, if possible. 18th Floor is where the launch of a great company and a great product happen.
