Colors can be drawn from the logo, or any complimentary colors that work well. I don't have a brand guideline for Feiworld, hence some flexibility is certainly reasonable. Feisworld's current logo is a square - difficult to work with images in a square or rectangular space (at least that's what I found).

Feisworld logo is also generic - I have a podcast, and a business (Feisworld Inc.) that does consulting in digital and marketing strategy. The cover can have options to reflect just one (podcast, or business), or both. Up to the designer.
I prefer illustration over photography. Feisworld logo's original design was based on the idea of a Chinese seal (stamp), and a bit of skater, retro look and feel.
Feisworld podcast is about other people. I am the host for the show. In the past, I've used extensive photos of other people. Recently I've received feedback from listeners to try shining a bit of light on my self. Attached is a collection of B&W images taken recently for variety.
In general, I like bold, raw, stunning, different, animated, hand-drawn, illustrative look and feel.
Optional - I have rights to use photos of the guests who appeared on my show, attached are a number of selections for considerations. These are not required, but perhaps add some interesting dimensions to the design
