Background: The client is developing a website that tracks alcohol consumption vs days not consuming alcohol.
The website enables users to track different aspects of consumption, including volume, standard units and cost.
The website also allows the user to compare their progress against friends, has links to health related websites and information about the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption.
The website also tracks days not consuming alcohol with the aim of encouraging people to moderate their alcohol consumption.
The website displays the information in tabular and graph formats and will reward people for achieving their goals of reducing alcohol consumption and/or increasing their alcohol free days.
For example, 10 days no consumption of alcohol might be rewarded with a badge or accolades from friends.
The aim of the website / Ap is to track the consumption of Alcohol with the aim of encouraging people to drink responsibly.
Consumed Alcohol Today will be called a CAT day and Day off Grog will be a DOG day. So basically the website tracks CATs and DOGs.
Only people who are old enough to legally drink. i.e. 18 + in Australia (primary audience) and 21 + in other countries such as the USA.
The audience will also be people who are keen and savvy with social media and smart phone technology.
1 icon (favicon.ico) and 2 buttons
Where are they to be used:
The icon needs to be a 16x16 pixel favicon.ico for the address bar of the browser. It should be simple enough to still have some meaning as such a small size. Perhaps a dog which is the main theme for the site (rather than CATs).
Buttons x 2 will be used on the website to record your consumption (CAT) or your Alcohol Free Day (DOG). i.e. one will be a DOG - Day off Grog and the other, a CAT - Consumed alcohol today.
These need to be clear in what they represent. Possibly include a wine glass or toxic bubbles on the CAT, and a healthy DOG for Day off Grog. These are only suggestions to help explain the use of the buttons.
The buttons should be to 24x24 and 32x32 and to either be in photoshop format or Portable Network Graphic (PNG) with a transparent background.
Background colour suggestions are very welcome.
