99designs is looking for a spectacular design to show off the creative talent of our community. This is your chance to show us what you do best by creating a compelling, visually stunning, original design.
We are open to a range of styles including but not limited to: abstract, typographic, cartoon, surreal, realistic and minimal designs. Submissions that contain detailed vector graphics, tell a story, or embody the spirit of the 99designs community will be highly rewarded. The new shirt should aim to be as iconic as our first (http://99designs.com/t-shirt-design…ntries/731), marking a growing community of talented 99designers and what it means to them.
We do NOT want logo re-designs or logo spin-offs. Any designs focusing too heavily on the logo will likely be eliminated. We want something original and different, but still easily recognizable as our brand. This is your chance to create that 99designs' design you've always wanted to, but never had an excuse to work on — something you'd wear proudly!
Any designs that contain stock images or other 3rd-party content will be eliminated immediately.
We would prefer submissions to be vector based (.AI), but Photoshop (.PSD) submissions are also acceptable as long as they are high resolution and use no more than 4 colors.

Do not focus on our logo - we want your design concept to be at the forefront of the design! Designs with strong concepts are preferred & we would greatly appreciate if you'd explain them to us when you submit. All starred entries have done a good job at showing their OWN unique interpretations of our brief: concept-wise & style-wise. They are all very different from each other, but they still work towards the same goal of expressing "community" and "creativity".

Pens, pencils, paintbrushes and mice are fine, but overdone. Don't feel stuck using these, and you shouldn't include these unless you can find a very interesting way to implement them. We are open to mascot-like designs, and will be more drawn to them if they are not human.
I've uploaded the designs we put in the blog post for your convenience. Remember to keep your lines and colors sharp, considering what the design will look like on a T-shirt. No all-over prints, please!
