'Ladies First' is a British period piece (1919), about the lack of gender equality in 1919 which also reflects today's society.
It is important to understand that both characters are challenging each other's views on gender equality.
I would like you to try posters that express the a theme of 'change'. This could be displayed through a change in colours or fonts, or formats etc...maybe half of the poster is more older looking in colour but the other half is more modern - this suggesting that society is changing
its views and thoughts on gender quality issues for the greater good; be creative.
I would like the following:
Clear representation of the period 1919
Understanding of the importance for gender equality
Please read the script
I would like you to try posters with or without the two images of the 'Diana' and 'George' looking at each other; which I have provided. Please feel free to try different styles, including, but not limited to those that are influenced by posters around the period of 1919. However if the poster is going to be influenced by period posters, then please have a modern approach, so it isn't exactly like a poster from 1919.
However I would LOVE to see some illustrations of the two characters.
Needs to scale to a 27" x 40" poster size.
