Hi, wonderful creative community!  ABOUT THE PRODUCT VistaPrint has launched a new box for their premium business card product. The box gives a more premium feel to the product when it’s delivered to the customer. Our goal is to improve the visual appeal of the box. We want to create a stylish and delightful unboxing experience for our customers. They should feel proud to have this box on display on their desk. TARGET AUDIENCE Small businesses in the EU, US and Canada. This particular audience is business owners ordering premium business cards - they have a particular affinity to quality and attention to detail.

WHAT DO WE WANT YOU TO DO? VistaPrint is working towards our goal of becoming THE marketing partner for small businesses. A key component of this is offering great design through 99designs. Since this box is a key moment in the customer journey, it’s important we make this into a delightful design experience that customers feel compelled to keep and share.  We want you to create an inventive, individual, and delightful illustration/pattern for the box.  The “Box A-square.png” attached shows how the illustration will be applied. There is also an example "outcomes first design project.png" which show how the VistaPrint brand might be applied later. The box is a blank canvas to showcase your creativity. Show us your individuality, style, and imagination, and transform this box into a work of art!  We will be awarding 3+ winners overall, and are looking for BROAD variety in styles. Every winning designer will have their profile name featured against their design on the printed boxes. A great opportunity to see your design in the hands of 1000s of business owners. THEMES / INSPIRATION Below are some themes to inspire your illustration/pattern. You can focus on one, or use in combination: - The world of small businesses / small business owners - Community - World-class design - The connecting moment when you use your business card We are totally open to design styles - so bring your imagination and your A-game! Be it street art, a typographic solution, colour blocking or your every unique illustrative style, you name it. As the box, esp BOX A is rather small, please keep this in your mind to not work too detailed. >> KEY DELIVERABLES<< For your contest entry, please submit a JPEG or PNG image of your illustration. Please show mocked up on BOX A,. Once we have selected the winning designs, we'll ask the winners to deliver the final file for their illustration as editable .ai & PDF using the dielines provided. >> DIMENSIONS & SPECS << There are 2 sizes of the box, and so your design should be applicable to both sizes. For the qualifying round of the contest only focus on the smaller, square box (BOX A). BOX A: Square box - holds 100 cards BOX B: Rectangular box - holds 250 cards The cards inside the box have the format: 2.5 x 2.5 inches. (63.5 x 63.5 cm) Dielines attached for both boxes with the dimensions. Color specifications: 4 color process, one special color and a varnish.  If you decide to use a special colour like a silver or gold, please make sure it's worth the extra print effort. You're free with colours, it's not required to stick to the Vistaprint corporate colours. Non the less, attached.
