We're looking for a illustration/ graphic that can represent a methodology that we've created called 'Supply by Design'.
The concept adapts Design Thinking into the context of Procurement and Supply Chain Management. We believe that every supply arrangement is a solution to a commercial problem. Supply by Design starts with identifying the true problem and then designing a supply solution (and the competition process) to not only solve the problem but generate a competitive edge.
The methodology will include a 5 step process. At this stage they are: Empathise and Analyse; Define and Ideate; Design and Prototype; Execute; Monitor and Iterate. (Note: these titles may change - indicative only)
The graphic will be used on the front of a book and in proposals to represent our methodology for approaching commercial problems.
We are looking for a graphic that's more advanced than a logo but not a process map. We do not want something that looks like a tailored powerpoint template. We want you to be creative and incorporate aspects including: 1) something to represent an element of design e.g. a pencil, light bulb etc. 2)
something to represent procurement/ supply as an input (e.g. trucks/ transportation) 3) Needs to illustrate that they're constructing something for a specific purpose.
We are looking for creative designs that adapt the two concepts of Supply (or buying something / having something delivered) with the concept of design (to make some specific for a unique purpose). We like the use of Typograms but we are not prescriptive on this.
Here is a Pinterest Board where we have gathered a few ideas / concepts: https://au.pinterest.com/simondthom…ion-board/
For initial concepts, pencil sketches are acceptable.
