I am self publishing a children's book. That may sound flimsy but I've workshopped it for years and people love it...there's a good chance this thing takes off.
¿Qué te inspira y qué diseño imaginas para tu empresa?
I am self-publishing a children's book about a dog and a baby owl who form an unlikely friendship. This contest is sort of a one page try-out for the person I will hire to illustrate the full book. It's 16 pages long so be prepared to set aside a month or so depending on how fast you are. We can work out what the price will be once I select a winner.
The dog is a stray so he should be very scruffy/dirty but he is also a wise man so despite his mangey fur and stuff he should be able to speak wisdom.... sort of like a buddhist monk who has been living as a hermit for 30 years in dog form. if Alan Watts was a dog?
The baby owl needs to look angry pretty much all the time .... so you will need enough skill to make him look angry in different ways: impatience, disgust, frustration. Halfway through the poem he grows up and chills out....so at some point we will need to agree on what he looks like as an adult.
Please pick one of these to illustrate:
1. Wintertime - The owl is buried in the snow and the dog pees on him to melt it.
2. Winter - The dog brings the baby owl a mouse which he refuses to eat.
3. Spring - The owl is attacking the dog by clawing his back.
The Looney Tunes guys said to make an iconic character you have to be able to recognize them in silhouette. So make them have a cool outline!
