design a graphic for a neighborhood park that style-savvy kids and parents will want to wear.
i'm looking for a style that is inspired by vintage travel posters and national park badges and that is ALSO desirable for kids to collect and wear (but not silly/cartoony).
to be used for an embroidered full-color iron-on badge/patch or sticker. also to use for larger silk-screen for tote/t-shirt.
This section of Teardrop Park is a sloping lawn where families have picnics, kick around the soccer ball, ride scooters (e.g. http://www.microkickboard.com/micro…i-scooter) around, there are birds singing and squirrels dashing - and it is surrounded by apartment buildings and distinctive rock wall formations. I'd like the design to convey that it is an active space.
See photos attached and through links. The design must include in a creative way these components: 1) the lawn, greenery, and pathways; 2) rock formation at top of hill (far left "hill and wall" jpg), 3) the distinctive rock wall with doorway (far right), 4) towering apartment buildings. To make it more fun, perhaps a squirrel, bird, or scooter silhouette. Note: the fence on right side of path is temporary- do not include- thanks! Although there are many components keep in mind the size and medium of the final product (too much detail may not translate well).
The font should be fairly simple. It should say the name of the park "TEARDROP" and in smaller font size the neighborhood, "BATTERY PARK CITY".
the badge/patch will be approx 2.5 x 2.5 inches. 8 color maximum. It could be any shape, such as diamond, rectangle, circle or something more distinctive, such as a teardrop shape.
The series of badges will have a uniformed style while representing different distinct sections of this park and other neighborhood playgrounds/play spaces. Other badges will likely include playground equipment, sprinklers or other structures.
Here are professional photos of the park: http://www.michaelmercil.com/teardrop-park/
For style and colors, I like the look of national park badges (http://www.eparks.com/store/categor…6/Patches/) and vintage travel posters.

Thanks so much for participating! I'm hoping to establish a long-term project with someone through 99designs!
