This is a personal project. There is no organization. Since the illustration is part of a gift, the target audience is one individual: the gift recipient.
¿Qué te inspira y qué diseño imaginas para tu empresa?
I would like to commission an illustration to appear opposite the title page of the print edition of a novella I wrote. Only a single printing is scheduled at this time. The finished book will be a gift.
The novella is called "Our Algorithm Who Art Perfection." It takes place in a far future version of Earth where very little of the planet is habitable. The main characters are monks in a religious order dedicated to programming nanites to fix climate change. The majority of the action takes place in a monastery in a river valley in the mountains of Siberia (although the climate there is now temperate). The two monks central to the story are named Grisha and Zhenya. They discover they have feelings for each other and must hide their relationship from their brothers in the order.
Thunderstorms, as well as light and darkness, play central thematic roles in the story. I would like the illustration to reflect this. My vision for the illustration is Grisha and Zhenya sitting somewhere in the mountains looking down into the mountain valley together, and the monastery is visible in the valley below them. One part of the illustration is bright and sunny, but storm clouds are visibly rolling in over the mountains. It's fine to connect the monastery and the storm, or don't. Either way is fine.
