La historia que contar en la infografía
We would like this infographic to highlight some of the fastest growing brick-and-mortar industries in California, New York, Texas and Illinois. We would like the infographic to be a heat map representing the size (number of businesses) of the selected industries in each state. We would like an accompanying key to identify the enterprise growth rate of each industry. This infographic should highlight the ability for our clients to understand and manipulate data, allowing them to build their own strategic outreach plan/market sizing ability. We’d like to convey the magnitude of the industries and their growth rates using visuals. Ideally, the size of the various circles in each state would correspond to their size (number of businesses.) The visual should be a map of the United States with these four states playing the major role.

Elementos para incluir en la infografía
We would like the infographic to be an outline of the United States with a focus on 4 key states (California, Texas, Illinois, New York), showcasing the size and growth of four different industries within each state. Please place each industry in its respective state using a colored circle/dot/symbol that is representative of its size: the larger the size of the industry (number of enterprises), the larger the symbol. Each symbol should have the corresponding full industry name labeled, perhaps with an accompanying image or icon (if feasible) so that user is quickly able to identify the industry. The color of each symbol should correspond to which range the enterprise growth rate of each industry falls into. In the bottom left corner of the infographic, please include a key that outlines what the growth rate% is (Example: 2012-2017 Enterprise Growth Rate: 0-5% = blue, 5-10%= green, 10-15%= yellow, 15% + = red). It is not necessary that the actual number percentage figures for enterprise growth rates are shown for each industry, if that makes the graphic too busy - this color-coding, if clear, is intended to take the place of adding in those numbers. We’ve also included an extra fact for every industry: their total marketing spend within that state. This is extra information to play with; if you can include it and it is aesthetically pleasing, please do. We would love for this information to be included, but are mindful that this graphic could easily become very busy with too many data points. Feel free to get creative with how to represent this data if at all, e.g., our color-coding and sizing schemes above. Please also include our logo in the upper right-hand corner of the graphic. Logo is attached, as are our basic brand colors - please use colors from this palette as much as possible, while focusing on making the infographic as eye-catching as possible. (Use of other non-brand colors is ok - we're trying to strike a balance between on-brand and particularly striking!) One more idea: you will notice that each of the states has four different industries, except that Street Vendors is included for every state. If it's too much to include all four industry data points/symbols/etc. for every state, you could pull Street Vendors out and do an inset smaller graphic that shows how Street Vendors across the four states measure up to each other - this will illustrate how clients can use our data to both compare different industries within a state as well as the same industries across a variety of states.
We are aware of how much data we're trying to cram in here, so please be creative and we absolutely trust your judgment on how to make this as catchy, illustrative and aesthetically pleasing as possible!
