Nature can serve as a source of solace, restoration, and rejuvenation. Time spent away from our busy lives and reconnecting with our deepest selves can help us all to prioritize and return refreshed and ready to take life biggest challenges.
Without this in my life, I could not have accomplished all that I have or provide all that I do for my community. I know that our society would be a deeper, richer, and more meaningful place if I can share this gift with others.
The priorities of the camp are to help children explore nature, experience new adventures, learn outdoor survival skills, and above all help them to develop a love for natural settings that will serve them well as adults. During the children's time at camp, they will learn all the skills needed for a backpacking trip including orienteering, fire building, cooking, safety, etc so that they feel ready and confident to take a trip on their own later in life.
During their time at camp, children will also participate in activities like mountain biking, water skiing, wakeboarding, wake surfing, canoeing, rafting, zip lining, spelunking, and challenge courses, just to open their eyes to the possibilities that await them.
The idea is that if we can sow the right things into young children's lives, and nurture the right things, then those children (and our society) will enjoy the fruits later in life.
One idea for the name is simply "Grow"
one idea for the slogan is: "what do you want to grow?"
