Create a home page based on existing PSD

Compassionate Activist Network

We provide incentives to animal rights activists to engage in high-return, effective forms of activism. They receive credits/points for their activities, which are then tracked in our system's back end.

Our landing page serves to entice non-members to join the program with: 1. a photo slideshow of events, 2. a short description of our purpose, 3. a summary of our event statistics, 4. a list of recent events for each event type, 5. log-in fields for existing coordinators, and 6. the logos of our sponsors.

Open to a re-imagination of the design, but we'd like to keep the tree in the header (color/size/etc can change) and the cow on the right (seed in the PSD, not the live site). We want a clean/modern site.

Slide-out/drop-down features or other ways to condense the content are welcome. Or perhaps a tablet-style look, with sections as you scroll/click down the page.

I'd like to see representative outline/two-tone illustrations for the different event types: money to signify pay-per-view, food to signify food sampling/feed-ins, a school building or chalk board for school talks, and a booklet/magazine (or stack of them) for leafleting.

We need to keep some basic elements: the log-in fields, search field, FARM logo in the top corner, the sentence describing the program, the small text on the bottom of the page.

be creative, but keep things sensible. the attached PSD is a rough "improved" version of the live site but it's FAR from what we want. we need something clean and easy to view.
