Please use the logo we attached to this design brief.
Please see attached proposed layout.
At the top right should be the Sign in / Sign Out / Register buttons.
Also somewhere at the top should be the Facebook and Twitter icons.
Central on the page, made to stand out, should be the time and location, that a user can change themselves. By default, we'll use the computer's location and date to give them search results.
The results should be below the location.
All results are going to be under a specific category. We have multiple categories, and we are unsure how to best display them. We hope you can help with this.
The categories are:
We'd like all the categories & their corresponding results to be easily & readily visible. The results need to be categorized within a specific category. The results shouldn't be all put together randomly.
Ideally, we'd like the results of more than one category to show up somehow. Perhaps as columns that can be edited? We're really unsure how to organize this so these are just suggestions.
A website that organizes listings in a good way http://www.onespout.com.
We'd like out categories to be more visible than them though. And the listings to be separated within categories somehow. Even if the separation is just through color-coding.
All the results should also be put on a map. The map should be on the landing page somewhere.
AirBnB does this nicely. E.g. https://www.airbnb.ca/s/Vancouver--…08-11-2013
Also, when somebody clicks on a result (business' name), a small pop-up should come up, like on google maps. It'll have the company's details (name, address, phone number, hours of operation, and a small link for "suggest a change".)
And there should be a button for "Add listing" so that users can add a listing for a business that we don't have in our database yet.
