I have an idea for an update to our website (buildrr.com) and I need your help. What I want to do is make the main top part of our website a surprising attention grabber by making it interactive by using a multi-layer multi-image, layered thing. I don't have an example to show you (I've never seen anything like it) so I can only explain it.
(Remember these are only examples)
Please go look at our current landing page : https://buildrr.com
If we didn't change the design at all, but wanted to implement our new idea for surprising interactivity, then way our new page would work is that the balloon would scroll with the page normally, while the rest of the image (the ipad with the hands) would be fixed and not moving. Giving the effect that the balloon is coming out of iPad and floating into the air. (note : the ipad would get covered by the content below of course, just like a fixed background)
If you were looking at this page for example http://www.quay.com.au/about, (that page already has the fixed background like I was mentioning), but the change would be that maybe the cups on the table would float into the air with the rest of the content, and give a surprising effect that you wouldn't be expecting.
What I need from you is to take these two examples as what I'm looking for from the interactivity perspective, and come up with the actual image(s) we will use and design the top part of our landing page.
Of course it needs to be showy and portray what a great design and custom web development company we are enticing the user to fill out our lead form, and contact us.
Also, I'm thinking about moving the navigation down to the bottom of the page (until you scroll down, at which point it will be fixed to the top) and making it so that all focus is put on this introduction to our company and instantly showing that we should be the company you contact if you're looking for the best design for a custom web development project.
Remember, the top of the page (and that's all you're designing right now is the top part) would be something like this https://www.evernote.com/shard/s13/…b076e499e9
Navigation after scroll : https://www.evernote.com/shard/s13/…02b7eec8da
When I say, surprisingly simple, I mean like back when google was nothing but a logo and a search input box. It's so simple that your eye immediately knows it has nothing else to do by pay attention to the message. Like this : https://www.evernote.com/shard/s13/…5de0c01847
Here's another example to help : https://www.evernote.com/shard/s13/…c917336ed0
Last thing to note...
In the mainly white background of that image we will have some small bubbles, which when you scroll animate and become our portfolio as you go down, like this : http://designasreligion.com/splash/photo.html (Just keep in mind that the light grey bubbles will be over top of whatever image and words we put in the main message lead in.)
