The company sells black garlic and black garlic products. The product will be sold in specialty food stores, health food stores and boutique food stores. The customers range from young adults to middle aged to elderly people who are health conscious. The brand's feel should appeal to millenials but be mature enough to be marketed to a mature and elderly audience. There is one existing company that sells the same garlic product; logo, brand and feel must be visually distinct from this company. I would love to have colors that are reflective or similar to the black garlic product itself. E.g. Black garlic is not exactly black, it is a very dark rich burgundy color with the garlic paper being more of a tanned version of the usually white look of the garlic paper/skin. The logo should if possible incorporate the trinidad and tobago flag or some other symbol of the country e.g. maybe a humming bird or a steel pan instrument or even the striped flag. This like maybe the "arrow" seen in the FedEx logo or the "bear" seen in the Tolborone chocolate logo. IF this is not feasible to do or to make it tasteful or subtly done like we see in the Tolborone or FedEx logo we can do without it. This logo and brand name will be printed on self adhesive labels that in turn will be stuck on stand up ziplock pouches (5.25 x 8 x 3 inches). The label will be up to an inch smaller than this so the brand name and logo must be legible and smart looking for a label of that size. If a mascot of some kind could be created (keep in mind this is a black garlic product being marketed to people in Trinidad and Tobago) to illustrate information or facts on the rear package label or even on instagram posts this would be greatly helpful. Maybe inspiration could be drawn from the shape and color of black garlic itself. The mascot is not necessary but would be useful should we diversify our garlic based products. I will include pictures of mascots, products and the picture of the competition's packaging to differentiate from. If a mascot is produced it may be used solely for online media promotions as opposed to the actual packaging. Ok, i've seen the basic templates so something different from what we can find. The product does not have to be thoroughly elegant, I want labelling that is a little fun but not so immature as to prevent mature and old customers from buying it. Also a QR code will be included in the package's back sticker so I don't know if that might make a difference. Trinidad and Tobago is a place where they play it very safe when it comes to generic packaging and branding; I'm willing to explore a more hip or unique style once its not so off-putting that adult and elderly customers feel its too immature for them. The saying below "The Black Garlic Company" I was thinking would be "Healthy. Tasty. Local." but of-course I am open to any suggestions should you choose to make them.

Any vibrant or contrasting color pallets that could be seen to reflect the colors of black garlic i.e. the dark rich burgundy of the actual 'black' garlic or the tanned color of the natural black garlic paper. The colors of Trinidad and Tobago flag is black, red and white. If this could subtly be incorporated in the branded name or logo or color pallet please feel free to try but don't let that compromise the overall look. I've uploaded pictures for you to see where I'm going and what I want to differentiate myself from.
