Better grip on the bat translates to better hit baseballs. Historically, baseball players have used pine tar for grip. More recently, companies have started to make alternatives to pine tar, including wax-based grip products that include pine tar in the wax. Kraken bat grip uses a combination of wax, pine tar, and other ingredients to give the user a product with superior grip and is easy to apply. Problem product solves Kraken Bat Grip provides better grip, sustains stickiness longer, easy to apply to the bat. Objectives of the brand The brand’s objective is to communicate to the target audience that Kraken Bat Grip includes strength, masculinity, testosterone, and respect and love for the history of the sport of baseball. Customer / Primary Audience Baseball players, typically male, ages 13-30, competitive, superstitious, and embrace the grind of hard work toward achieving goals.

Name and what is conveys “The kraken is a legendary sea monster of gigantic size and cephalopod-like appearance in Scandinavian folklore. According to the Norse sagas, the kraken dwells off the coasts of Norway and Greenland and terrorizes nearby sailors”(Wikipedia). The Kraken is known to come up from the water and crush ships with its long, sticky, tentacles. It said that once the tentacles have their grip on a ship, your fucked, and the ship is lost. I want to translate the strength of these tentacles, and the masculinity of a giant sea creature to my bat grip product. Images / Ideas Below find some inspirational ideas. I am thinking of having a Kraken holding a wooden baseball bat. I particularly like the Kraken rum images. This branding will be on primarily a black background so I tend to prefer the black backgrounds.
