I am starting a new customer-focused travel agency called Daylily Travel . Why am I starting? *Passion for travel *Creative eye for finding perfect destination *Love putting a vision to life Who am I? *Compassionate *Easy-going *Original & Creative Thinker *Adventurous *Passionate *Innovative *Values Connection *Assertive *Seeker of New Experiences Who is my target audience? *All-Inclusive Vacations for the most part. *Sunny Destinations / Caribbean *Couples - romantic vacations *Family travel *In the future I may add destination weddings & groups What voice do I want to portray? *Trustworthy *Light-hearted humour *Light & Fresh *Passionate Why DAYLILY? *Lily is my grandmother's name and I want to pay tribute to her through my business. *Daylilies have a lot of symbolism in spiritual as well as asian culture (I am not asian though I like the messaging) **signify "forgetting worries" and living a long and bountiful life. They also represent fruitfulness, planning major changes in your life, and are a charm for bad luck. -I am also interested in seeing if something travel specific could be added to the logo. Perhaps a sunshine, airplane, palm tree, etc. Basically want to tie in daylily with travel. Colour Selection: *You'll see I picked Orange, Yellow, and Aqua colours. These don't all need to be vibrant colours however... **I specifically want to concentrate on an ORANGE daylily, potentially with yellow accents (see the picture below for an example of the type of lily). The lily represented is called "Lady Lucille" (Lucille is my other grandmother. So there is a lot of symbolism here for me.) **Orange Daylilies also represent tenacity & dedication. Which puts forth a message that I will be dedicated to my clients. *I envision the colours to represent sea, sun, and sand. How I envision the logo: *I picture both a combination of the name of the business and images that represent my branding. I wouldn't mind seeing DAY and TRAVEL in a block lettering font, and Lily in cursive, to represent my grandmother's signature, or... daylily in cursive and travel in block lettering. (Not sure on fonts but hopefully that provides an example)

I prefer hand-drawn logos. I like a combination of letters and imagery. Feminine and Floral design that encompasses the travel brand I have in mind, and keeping in mind the symbolism. Attached is a few examples of what the "Lady Lucille" daylily looks like for a colour perspective. The logo definitely does not need to be an exact replica of the images... I've also included a picture of myself so you know who you are designing for :)
