Beyond BIM

ADDITION: We prefer a font based logo. We have not yet decided on a font. We are a young start-up from Frankfurt am Main that wants to push digitalisation in the construction industry. Up to now, the planning documentation of a building has been largely 2D - using plans, lists and descriptions. Even if three-dimensional planning is already being done, 2D plans are still mostly exchanged. This is often due to the demands of the client or a public authority, but sometimes also to reservations, obstacles or fears on the part of the planners and those involved. Planning, exchange and documentation in the BIM (Building Information Modeling) planning method has great advantages for all parties involved, e.g. one single source of truth - i.e. all information is based on one single source, namely the BIM model. Changes can be made in a clear manner and errors occur much less frequently. The models of the individual planners are brought together every 2 - 4 weeks by a so-called BIM overall coordinator and checked for content and collisions with each other. Errors are thus detected very early and reliably. Each error is synchronised as an "issue", i.e. ticket, ToDo, ... on a central collaboration platform and can be viewed and edited individually in the software of the respective planner. BIM planning can thus reduce risks and error rates enormously and have a positive effect on costs and deadlines. In BIM processes we take over the planning of the necessary processes, monitor the model qualities and carry out the collision checks described above. At the same time, we support the parties involved in generating further advantages for their own office from the BIM planning, e.g. the secure exchange of property and characteristic values for windows with the building physicist or the development of internal office standards. We also help with problems with the software used and develop solutions for interface problems when exchanging models within the planning team. For this purpose we use the entire range of what is technically possible: numerous software for clash detection, tools for the digital measurement of so-called point clouds, business intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, collaboration platforms up to self-developed programs. In order to take away planners' reservations or even fear, we have made "cozy BIM" our motto. This means that everyone knows exactly what to expect right from the start; we provide support in the implementation and execution of planning in BIM; we generate added value for the project from the models; we operate real-time project monitoring; we program tools that simplify data generation and data exchange enormously for those involved; we develop solutions that are currently lacking on the market - in other words, BIM that takes BIM further or "Beyond BIM". This is also what the dot in front of our company name stands for: As with file names, the extension makes the type of file clear and makes editing possible. ".Compendium" is the extension that enables the customer to handle the BIM process - for planners (architects, structural engineers, building services planners, ...), clients (project developers, private builders, ...), authorities, companies (carcass builders, general contractors, ...) and all interested parties. We advise, train and pass on our knowledge. Sometimes we also discuss - always with the aim of taking everyone with us on our way to a digitalised construction line.

Every creative idea is welcome - we look forward to it! In this spirit, the dot in front of the name is still open to discussion, for example if the logo idea works better without it. Both lower and capital letters can be used, e.g. .compendium / .COMPENDIUM / compendium / COMPENDIUM
