Welcome. I very much looking forward to the brilliance that you each will come up with. My industry is insurance, however I chose technology as it's representative more of the direction I'm looking for. Customers would be individuals and businesses so B2C and B2B. For the design, think InsurTech and FinTec startups (Lemonade, Hippo, Clover, Attune, Jetty) as opposed to the traditional local office our parents were used to. I'm going for fun, lively, colorful, popping, exciting. My goal is to provide the benefits of a local independent agent - genuine care & feeling - but not at the expense of the antiquated past way of doing business (mail, phone, face to face). The agency will embrace technology (24/7 portals, digital applications, AI risk analysis, video conferencing) and be on the forefront of tech as opposed to being apprehensive or, even worse, a late adopter. I want clients to feel like, as the driver, they are in full control, but we are still right there with them in the passenger seat. If they need us, we're accessible on their terms. These notes are simply from my own brainstorming and do not represent "requirements." I want each of you to digest this brief and put forward designs that embody the agency's spirit but with your own expressive flair. The name was derived from a mashup between "Nimble" and "Agility." Nimble = quick and light in movement or action Agility = ability to move quickly and easily NIMB leagil ITY (thought it was funny that the leftover letters phonetically spell "legal") Nimb = "halo or nimbus (a luminous cloud or halo surrounding a supernatural being); an emanation, surrounding aura, or atmosphere." -ity suffix = "denoting quality or condition; denoting an instance or degree of a quality or condition." Word association to "Nimbity": Snowshoe hare, rabbit, dragonfly, hummingbird (each nimble creatures), cloud, radiance Other attributes that fit my style and potential brand: origami, abstract, minimalist. I'm looking for a start-up feel type logo - the feeling of fresh, new, vibrant - conveying that anything is possible. A flat design language is preferred to all others. I prefer Sans fonts over most others (if you couldn't tell from the references). Color: Based on color associations - blues, greens, and purple are seemingly the best fit, albeit, I would like more whimsical hues. I'm not limited to those colors, they are technical suggestions. Further, I don't really want more than three colors or variations in the design. It's fine for printing with a color printer, but can be a different story when you approach other mediums. Design should look equally appealing in full color and as monochromatic. All aspects of the design should stand on their own. I would prefer, though it's not required, a textual logo with some sort of icon - both should be recognizable and brandable separately. I do not have a preference on capitalization, though the first letter capitalized and/or all lowercase is probably preferred (over all caps). The expected slogan is: "Nimble insurance." That has not been finalized. To say I'm excited with the prospects of your designs is somewhat of an understatement. To each of you, have fun and feel free to blow my mind! (For the winner, I'll likely need the rest of my business identity!)
