I have just been invited to a major event on the 7th March, so I require this quickly to allow for printing.
The goal is to inspire "Self leadership through Self knowledge" using validated and practical tools that lead to clarity in direction and communication, so my clients go “From Cloudy to Clear”, moving confidently in the direction of their goals (being in the driver’s seat of their life). I am using my 25 years of experience in asking the right questions to solve problems and find solutions in a coaching setting by encouraging clients to be curious, to experiment and explore. I have been referred to as an ‘awesome’ Solution Finder by my colleagues, hence the by-line.
Outcome: A logo and business card that are unique, elegant, vibrant and stylish and set me apart from other coaches. Quality is very important, reflected in the choice of textured card stock and embossing/de-bossing (think Letterset style). These cards are meant to stand out from the crowd, be tactile and visually interesting without being busy. They are intended to make people curious to want to know more, to become engaged with me. I am open to a portrait layout rather than the standard landscape layout, whichever works best.
Keywords: simple; friendly, open, approachable, accessible, maybe an element of fun; eye-catching; creative; make people want to pick them up, touch them and look at them; a conversation starter
Style: I have played around with logos in the past, but nothing has really grabbed me. I am wondering whether a signature style logo will suit me better and this style is used a lot in my industry (see examples supplied). Colours were going to be simple, but the colourful sample I found on 99designs (creative cocoon, image supplied) is surprisingly appealing in its combination of colour and texture. So I am open to logo style and colour ideas.
Logo Applications: Business card, website, letterhead and stationery, e-newsletter, blog, Facebook, promotional material such as EDISC fold out cards and USB sticks, CD covers, online psychometric test landing page, report branding, etc. It should be re-sizeable and be clear when quite small and should work well on its own without any writing.
Clients: Initially, I am drawing on my professional networks in the university sector, and I am targeting recruitment companies (focus on Extended DISC), but the strength of my background and approach are their versatility and broad appeal. My current network is based mainly around women, however, I require the branding to be equally appealing to men.
My ideal client is fed up with the status quo and is looking for change. He/She is looking to grow, to get to know themselves and to feel that they are in charge of their life. Through working with me they gain the confidence to move forward with clarity and conviction. It is someone who is not afraid to challenge themselves, to be challenged, to ask the difficult questions and to experiment and explore. However, to draw them in, the image projected should be non-threatening, open and inviting, invoking curiosity.
