I picked the name Kessel because it met 3 criteria: 1) It had to be a Star Wars reference as those who know me, know how much I love Star Wars. 2) It had to sound professional, as I mostly deal with VP and C-Suite clients and 3) It had to have a relevant double meaning. In this case the meaning is: The Millenium Falcon did the Kessel Run race, a race measured in 18 parsecs, in under 12 parsecs. The translation for me: Kessel Digital creates faster paths to success.
I love the idea of the classic graphic of bending space so you can shorten the distance from A-B as a perfect metaphor.
For the business, I have three main groups of potential clients:
1) Brands that need strategic support with their approach to data
2) Marketing Technology companies seeking to sell their customer data software into brands
3) Agencies and Consultancies trying to build and grow a customer data capability/practice.
My contention is, today all 3 groups exist and interact, and are in fact necessary for success, but the model in which they engage and go to market is completely broken. I believe my consulting services can deliver value for all three groups individually, and deliver even more by pulling the three groups together in new ways.
In terms of the design, I have provided a few examples but I am not trying to limit designs to the images provided. So long as they communicate the concept and manage to look professional doing it, I'm very open.
