eaio is an alternative to advertising. Instead of annoying animated images, eaio makes it easy for visitors to donate to websites.
Monetizing websites has always been a bit painful for webmasters, and, as everybody who is crazy enough to surf the web without an ad blocker will tell you, the quality of websites and the amount of advertising on them seem to have an inverse correlation.
eaio makes donating to websites super easy, while its optimization technology makes sure as many people as possible actually donate.
The target audience for the website (and the logo) is webmasters who are looking for an alternative to advertising. Maybe they've just been shitcanned by Google AdSense, maybe 50 % of their traffic now uses AdBlock Plus and their ad impressions are down.
Some ad networks have rather loud logos, which is not what eaio needs. eaio is also not for everyone -- the optimization tech needs at least 250 K visits a month -- so appeal to every webmaster is not needed.
The visitor shouldn't think "I wonder if my company can afford this" but he also shouldn't think "my website about Gritty Kitty Litter has 20 visits/month, I'll be rich with this." You get the idea.
eaio can be found at http://eaio.com. The concept was used before on http://media.io, which is a site you may know.
