aboalarm is an easy to use service that makes cancellations easier for consumers.
Cancelling a contract (e.g. mobile plan, insurance) is a real struggle for consumers here in Germany. Providers try to lock them up for as long as 24 months and make the cancellation process as difficult as possible. aboalarm makes it easy to cancel contracts and is with more than 14 million cancellations the market leader in this segment.
We provide websites and apps for quick cancellation and management of contracts with over 20,000 suppliers. Users just have to fill in their personal details in one of our cancellation letter templates and we take care of the delivery. And if there's a problem with the provider, we cover the legal fees.
At aboalarm we center everything around the users and giving them the help that they need with the cancellation of their contracts, as this is a very German problem, you should keep in mind that most of our users are Germans and between 25 and 45 years old.

As our current logo only contains text, it makes it difficult for people to grasp why our business exists in the first place. We are seeking an abstract mark with no text and therefore are not looking for plays with the letter A. Give us new ideas that fit to our name “aboalarm” (written in Open Sans Semi Bold). People should get a direct sense about our service.
When it comes to symbols you should be creative. These are some symbols you may want to play with:
· The infinity symbol ∞ that could stand for the never-ending circle of cancel contracts
· A shield that represents trust and protection
· A cancellation letter that is ready for signing
But beside that feel free to surprise us and come around with some other symbols.
What we are looking for is a simple icon that should work throughout all our communication channels and achieve the following with the viewer:
· High recognition factor regardless of the used media
· Easy adaptation to our existing channels (e.g. website, ads, social media, letter)
· Reflect the mixture of our service between trust and easiness
· Stand apart from our main competitors, Volders (https://www.volders.de) and Check24 (https://www.check24.de)
These examples should give you an idea of which kind of designs we like for their simplicity, meaning and recognition value: Airbnb (https://press.atairbnb.com/de/media-assets/), mytaxi (https://de.mytaxi.com/index.html), Beats (https://www.beatsbydre.com) etc.
We want something fresh, so you do not need to update our current logo. Bold, block capital letters typed with the CAPS LOCK KEY are out. We want a logo that is so simple that everybody could draw it and interpret it themselves. It should reflect the two elements of our cancellations service, reliable and easy to use.
We like to keep our design simple. The new logo should be 2D and vector based. It should not only be scalable to numerous sizes, but also work in the color of our company: orange (#F25C00).
The files we will require are: .ai (Illustrator), .eps (Illustrator), .psd (Photoshop) and .png.
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
