AllThingsJeep.com is on online gift and accessory store for Jeep & off-road enthusiasts. Our audience is Jeepers (and their friends/family) who think of their Jeep as a way of life. We started an event 10 years ago - Go Topless Day and we are the "hosts" of that event across the world. There are over 150 locations each year and 1000s of Jeep people participating. NOTE: Please read the "Is there anything else you would like to communicate to the designers?" below for design requirements.

Go Topless Day LOGO DESIGN Document Background Go Topless Day began on May 3rd, 2008 and was created at All Things Jeep (www.allthingsjeep.com) for local Jeep owners to celebrate the beginning of Spring in New England. A milestone date for Jeepers living with winter is when the weather gets warm enough to take the top off their Jeep. It is a day of joyous celebration and basking in the glow of a topless Jeep. All Things Jeep wanted to create a community event to bring local Jeep owners together and planned a celebratory gathering at a local farm stand that had the room. They also announced it on their website and other Jeep clubs around the country wanted to join in the day and host their own event. So the concept of bringing this event “worldwide” was born. In 2008 there were about 50 additional clubs that created some sort of local event. In May 2017, close to 150 Jeep clubs, dealerships and organizations around the world held events celebrating Worldwide Go Topless Day with about 10,000+ Jeeps participating. There are many Jeep events occurring every year, but only Go Topless Day spans continents and brings Jeepers worldwide together on a single day. Jeepers celebrate by going on trail rides, picnicking together, having a beach day, setting up show and shines, doing land clean-up, BBQing, etc. Dealerships sponsor big gatherings with free food, entertainment and giveaways. The smallest events are local Jeep club events. The biggest events have become weekend events that draw 3000+ Jeeps. Jeep Owners Jeep owners are an enthusiastic group. They are attracted to the Jeep brand because of its association with ruggedness, the outdoors and adventure. People like the “out of the box” feeling that driving a Jeep gives them. They are a vehicle with a purpose. For a while, the Jeep brand logo was “Go anywhere. Do anything.” People like the thrill of the vehicle. It sits higher. It can travel over more terrain. A dirt road or a muddy bog – no problem for a Jeep. It’s a “low-speed thrill ride”. Jeepers have a special “Jeep wave” they do when they pass other Jeepers on the road. And Jeeping is a family sport often passed along from one generation to the next. Go Topless Day The name of the event is a little cheeky. For Jeep owners, it is clearly promoting a topless Jeep. For non-Jeep owners, the name is potentially risqué, and causes attention. Jeep owners are happy about that! Each year we design a new graphic for the day and create a variety of apparel and products with the logo/design on it. The designs feature the event name and a Jeep-oriented graphic. Nothing inappropriate. The graphic is dated with that year’s event date and the “7th annual worldwide…” or “10th annual worldwide…”, etc. NEW LOGO DESIGN: Ten years after launching our annual Go Topless Day, we are now in the process of actually trademarking the name. Our goal is to create a * UNIQUE typestyle-based logo which can be trademarked. (this logo will be incorporated into our yearly designs that will include graphics of Jeeps, outdoor images, etc.) REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR NEW LOGO: -a sense of adventure, outdoors, “no boundaries”, fun, and coolness (but not trendy). -It should look good as a single color or 2-3 colors. - It should work solo (like on a hat or bumper sticker) or as part of a bigger image on a shirt that changes from year to year. 3 POSSIBLE IDEAS: 1. The logo is simple, unique, hand-drawn font-based logo with minimal graphic enhancements. Examples of this are Salt Life, Life is good, Animal Planet, Disney, Kleenex. 2. The logo may have a simple graphic element added to them. This could also work. Examples: The North Face, Dole, Best friends animal society, HGTV, Amazon. 3. A logo where the graphic element truly “epitomizes/graphically represents” the brand. This would also be great. Examples: Dominos Pizza, Dropbox, World Wildlife Federation, Tostitos. (some ideas of a graphic element that could work would be a globe, a portion of a compass, a rugged tire, a Jeep grille, tire tracks) NO-NOs: -We can't use the word "Jeep". -We should not have in image of a Jeep in the logo in any way other than representational (an icon, or a portion of a Jeep grille, or a headlight, tire, etc. -If there is a simple representation of a Jeep, it should be TOPLESS (of course.) -no breasts Our logo will be printed on shirts, hats, stickers, mugs, and will be on our website, social media, and print. Do a search in google for “jeep go topless day” or “all things jeep go topless day” etc. to see past logos, tee-shirts, event photos etc. to get the flavor of the event and the various logos.
