The name is 5th branch with a "5", not spelled out “fifth branch.”
Keep the logo creative, classic and simple, not too formal or complicated.
Yes, the logo can be a bird on a branch, but not too cliché. It could be a hawk or a raven coming in for a landing or a bluebird, sparrow, dragonfly or butterfly.
Yes, it can just be a branch.
I want the logo to look good in black and white, but color can be used. My website has a white background so it needs to look good on white.
I’m not set on a particular color. I tend to like vibrant greens, blues, yellow, red, orange, gray, but keep it sophisticated or fun. I don’t like muted colors.
This is a collection of a few logos that I like, but none of them are exactly right so don’t take this too literally.
The brown “branch” logo and the black “branches” logo are examples of fonts I don’t like. I want a font with personality and uniqueness.
I’d rather not see a branch come out of the name (unless it’s done really well) or off of the “h” in branch.
I do like the green color they used in the branches logo.
The site is called 5th Branch because journalists are unofficially known as the 4th branch of government. As I blogger, I guess I’m one removed, the 5th Branch. This does not need to be conveyed in my logo.
