Community Daily News, Inc. communitydailynews.com
We're web publishers located in New England who have a successful business model that we want to sell to would-be web publishers. They'll get their own custom-designed community news and niche websites and also sales and technical support.
We are trying to sell our platform and publishing system/business model to mostly male, mostly ex-newspaper employees who would be aged 45 - 65. Also mostly in New England, the east and midwest. So we don't want to be too web 2.0 looking (too Twittery); on the other hand, we need to look hi-tech and somewhat conservative.
Needs to incorporate CDN as well as community daily news into design. Also the tagline: the future of community news
No pastels or web 2.0 Twittery "silliness" (I personally love Twitter, but our target market most decidedly does not). Colors should strike a balance between conservative and friendly. They are investing in a somewhat costly technical product and the logo should reflect dependability and trust. Maybe some abstracted head and shoulder people in a group to connote community, it should be about communicating to a community online.
