The Bridge Logo Design Contest
Design a logo for a new concept store, called The Bridge. The store will be located in an Airport, so it must appeal to travelers coming and going. The store concept will be Next Iconic Neighborhood. The store will carry food and drinks, books, magazines, gifts, souvenirs, toys, electronics, fashion accessories and other product categories. The store will have a focus on local made products, but will carry brand name goods as well. Visitors will be drawn to the extraordinary in the ordinary and many elements of surprise and delight. The store will have many touchpoints of technology, pop up shops and a few experience zones that could change throughout the year.
The store’s décor will feature a variety of fixture and décor treatments ranging from modern, to eclectic to industrial. Bridge cables will be used as a design element throughout the space as a way to tie the space together. The color pallet will be fairly neutral, woods, whites, light greys, black and gold. The space will have some very high ceilings and other areas with a lower ceiling. There will be a central pathway and a secondary pathway throughout the space, due to the large size of the space.
The store will be extremely large and the name The Bridge lends itself to being a connection for travelers to all things New York. The concepts for logo design do not have to be a literal bridge. Focus on the structure or the ideas of connections or what the idea of a bridge could symbolize.
The logo should reflect the stores aesthetic but be able to stand on its own. The logo will be used as storefront signage, on shopping bags and on merchandise tags. Multiple versions (i.e. vertical and horizontal) will be required of the winning design.
