I am an animal behaviorist. I see dogs and cats for aggression, anxiety, phobias and compulsive behavior. Most of the pets I see are anxious or aggressive. I am not a dog trainer. I have a Ph.D. in animal behavior and worked as a doctor for 5 years at veterinary specialty hospitals. Some of the pets I see take medication like people do for anxiety and aggression. I started my own business and now I travel to clients' homes to meet with them and their pets. I do hands on work with their pets and then I develop a personalized behavior plan to modify their pet's behavior. I use positive-based methods (no punishment).
My clients are animal lovers and their pets are considered family members. I do see crazy cat ladies and dog owners, but many of my clients are working families that need help with a problem behavior that is affecting their quality or their pet's quality of life.
Most of my referrals come from veterinarians or dog trainers. Almost all of my clients are distressed prior to me working with them. I give educational talks to rescue groups, shelters and veterinarians about dog and cat behavior.

I want something retro, kitsch and fun. Since most of my client's are distressed, I am looking for a logo that is friendly and welcoming in appearance. I don't want the logo to look silly though. I see a lot of clients that are rich or want the best and my service isn't cheap.
I like boomerang shapes and stars and other characteristic 1950's and 1960's styles. I have attached some artwork that I like (style-wise).
I am happy to have a dog and cat in the design, but I would want simple cartoons that can shrink down nicely onto a business card. It is okay if no animal is in the design. Maybe an animal tail could coming off the end of the wording instead.
