City Chapel

Can't wait to find a designer who can help us achieve our logo/brand style!

We are a church. In short:

We have a loving, Christ-centered community that helps people find and live their God-given purpose so they can become the world changer they were created to be.

Our core audience is lower 20's to upper 30's. Not necessarily hipster, but definitely not "traditional." Think YOUNG FAMILIES.

In our area, there are a lot of big churches that are quite old and the kind of people who come to our church are bored/burned out on the kind of stale/traditional/overly "clean" or "buttoned-up" churches here. They value more authenticity for sure... something that at least looks like it didn't pass through a bunch of levels of bureaucracy and then gets reduced to something too safe. So our "market" is generally younger families who want a "dangerous" church -- something they believe really can be a movement, not just another organization.

Black and White preferred.

What NOT to include:
-No imagery (this is a text-only logo)

General feel:
-This logo is for a church, so it would ideally be FRIENDLY and PROFESSIONAL.
-Our identity is more MODERN.
-HIP but not hipster

Font:
-Looking for something very readable but unique. What would look interesting in general but also be legible as a sticker on the back of the car in front of you?

***Here is the specific design goal:
-I want to see a BADGE logo
-At the top should read our name: City Chapel
-The middle should have our initials: either “C” or “CC”
-The bottom should have our tag line: “Find and Live Your Purpose”

*The logo will need to be something that can look good on a billboard (appropriate on the side of a building for instance) as well as a hat, or even a bracelet (something that can transfer to a thinner more contained format).

*I also must have something that can be used in favicon format for web browsers.
