The Good Neighbor House is a non-profit that provides essential resources to those in need. We provide dental, eye and health care for under-insured patients as well as wellness classes, food pantry, clothing, and household items. However, we don't provide typical low-income/ non-profit experience. We strive to provide all of our services in a polished and professional atmosphere to ensure we maintain the dignity of those we serve.
Now, as a new effort, we are converting our clothing and household services into a thrift store. This will allow us to add another revenue stream so that we can expand our services and outreach to more people in need. As with the rest of our services, we want the new thrift store to be polished and professional--it will feel more like a retail store than a thrift store.
All that said, the logo needs to feel like more of a typical retail store than a thrift store. The name "The Good Neighbor House Thrift Store" will probably end up changing in the next year or so, but the project must continue--with or without a better name. We want "Thrift Store" to be the emphasis, with "The Good Neighbor House" being secondary/smaller. Another name we can try is "The Thrift Store by Good Neighbor House".
Attached is our current logo. We are NOT looking to redesign this logo. We want the new logo to look like it fits with our current logo, but not be a direct copy. The colors can be within the color family shown in our current logo, or they can be new--we are open to ideas.
Things to avoid in the logo: unreadable fonts, and clothes hanger illustrations/images.
